There is a new era in Arizona. The Cardinals made the Super Bowl, the Suns probably won't make the playoffs, and Republican Jan Brewer has replaced former photo radar advocate Janet Napolitano for the office of governor. In an interview done by KTAR 92.3FM, new governor Jan Brewer explained her stance on the photo radar program currently in place. "I know that the Legislature has informed me that there are at least some people down there that would like to see a piece of legislation (on photo radar) go through. We have to see what the economic impact is. But, I certainly don't support photo radar as a revenue generating solution toward solving our budget. I believe truly that that's what it was initially put in for." She basically admits that photo radar was put in as a revenue generator. It is unfair that politicians like former governor Napalitano lie to the public, claiming the photo enforcement as a way to make the streets safer. The only real solution is legislation to end this excess tax on Arizona residents.
