If you are like many avid photographers, you likely have envelopes full of photographs and CDs full of photos that are stuffed into desk drawers and file cabinets all over your home. Being overwhelmed by the task of organization is something that happens to everyone, not just photographers, but when you consider that you will be able to enjoy your photographs more when you can find them to display and look at, it makes sense to look at different photo storage solutions and see which might work for you.

There are several from which to choose, including a photo storage box system, print sleeves and a cd storage sleeve, which can be placed with others inside a notebook for easy organization.

Photo Storage Box System

There are several different types of materials that can be used to create a photo storage box. Archival photo storage boxes are available, which are large, flat boxes about two to three inches deep. These will hold a great number of photographs, and are perfect for stacking because the best of them come with reinforced corners for added strength. A photo storage box system allows you to organize photos by year or subject matter, or by photographer, so you have a systematic way to carry on in your organization method of choice.

Print Sleeves

Print sleeves offer an excellent way to organize your photographs in albums. There are sleeves available that come in acid-free varieties, which will help to prevent dirt, pollution and ultraviolet light, as well as water, from damaging the surface of your fine art photographs. They load from the top or the side and are a great type of photo storage method that can help to bring order to your photo collection.

CD Storage Sleeve Solutions

Storage sleeves for CDs and DVDs are infinitely useful. Because they take up much less room than jewel cases, many people find they can store many more discs in them as compare with the standard case. Storage sleeves can also be labeled, so you will never have to search for exactly the CD you want from among dozens that look alike.

Other Photo Storage Methods
If you want to store your photos individually, or if you wish to offer photos for sale, clear bags could be the photo storage solution that will work for you. There are acid-free bags available that will preserve and protect your fine art photographs for years.

Whether you select boxes, sleeves or bags, there is a storage solution for your many photos.
