Barcelona vs. Deportivo La Couña
The past Saturday’s encounter saw the prominent Barcelona show once more why is the leader of the Spaniard tournament. With a smashing 5-0, Barça stood up to a Deportivo La Coruña incapable to reach the football level being played by their executioners. With absolute domain of the ball, the “Culé” team was able to open the scores during the first part of the game and finished with an advantage of three goals on their favor. The second part was not as intense and even though the “Blaugrana” low a bit their rhythm, they kept firm controlling the match. Sevilla FC vs. Numancia
It wasn’t an easy victory for the ‘Sevillistas’, who had to survive from a Numancia that never stop fighting back. During the first part the ‘Rojillos’ performed as very strong team, stopping every attack from the dangerous contrary defense, but en the second half the ‘Rojiblancos’ marked them with the same intensity, until near the end (82 minute), the locals from Sevilla achieved the 1-0 that Numancia with 10 men couldn’t changed.
Villarreal vs. Mallorca
Finally Villarreal managed to break the chain of five games without a triumph by defeating with a 2-0 to Mallorca, who did constant mistakes that made them lose concentration and several opportunities to mark the tie. Villarreal opened and close the score on their favor during the first period, to look more relax for the second half, without losing control before a rival not very entertaining and unable to hit the Yellow Submarine’s net.
Getafe vs. Racing Santander
At mid season, Racing Santander attains to change the bad image exposed at the beginning of the tournament, thanks to the 1-0 obtained against Getafe, which on the contrary has lowed their level. The “Verdiblancos” run the match, in which the local ‘Azulones’ had a weak defense and an ineffective strategy. At the end of the encounter, Getafe lost all concentration and Racing captured the victory.
Recreativo Huelva vs. Sporting Gijón
