This is a new series (1-18) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.
Verse No. 18 in the Old Testament says: (the sun and the moon) to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
Verse No. 18 in the New Testament says
Verse No. 18 in the Noble Quran says: when it is said to them: Do not corrupt in the land; they (the hypocrites) say: we are only reformers.
==========

The verse No.18 in the Old Testament is Genesis1:18
The verse continues talking about the creation of the heavens and the earth, it says: to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.

The function of the sun and the moon according to Genesis1:18
In this verse, the Bible determines the function of the sun and the moon.
1- They govern the day and the night and
2- They separate light from darkness
It is well known that the circular movement of the earth around its axis is the process that governs the day and the night.
Also, I have no idea how do the sun and the moon separate light from darkness?
Here again, still the Bible does not name the sun and the moon.
Why God did not name the sun and the moon and called them in verse 1:17: "Them" and called them in verse 1:16 the greater light and the lesser light?
It is said that they are not called by their names, because in Old Testament times some people worshiped the sun and the moon as though they were gods.
Are you convinced by this explanation?

The verse No. 18 in the New Testament is Matthew 1:18
The verse continues talking about the Genealogy of Jesus Christ, and Matthew lists Jesus' ancestors, the verse says: This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

Here again, There are some facts about the Birth of the Lord Jesus:
!- He has no father, although Matthew 1 insists to mention 42 names from Abraham to Joseph as Jesus' ancestors. The Quran does solve this point in one word. The Quran always mention Jesus as "Jesus, the son of Mary". And that is it.
2- Saint Mary lived and died as a "Pure, Untouched, and an Outstanding Virgin Woman". This is the Muslims' faith about Saint Mary, peace be upon her; although the Bible insists that she was pledged to be married to Joseph, then she married him and then she had babies from him and then those babies are the brothers of God!

Verse No. 18 in the Noble Quran is Chapter 2:11,
Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW), 2:11
Verses 2:8-20 are talking about the hypocrites
Verse 2:8 (See article 15) states that the hypocrites say: 'we believe in Allah and the last day, ' yet they are not believers.
Verse 2:9 (See article 16) says: They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not.
Verse 2:10 (See article 17) says: "There is a sickness in their (the hypocrites) hearts which Allah has increased; for them there is a painful punishment because they lie."

The verse 2:11 continues talking about the hypocrites; it says:

When it is said to them, ‘Do not spread corruption in the land’, through unbelief and hindering people from faith, They say, ‘We are only putting things right’, that is, ‘we are not engaging in corruption’.
It is also said: when it is said unto them: Make not mischief in the land by preventing people from the Religion of Muhammad, they say: we are only reformers, we are reforming it through obedience.
These are what is said in the interpretation of this verse.
However, the meaning of the verse is global, it talks about anyone in any field who is corrupting but he thinks that he is a good doer.
This verse could be applicable in any field of the different activities of the life, e.g., in school, in home, in work, in hospitals, in church, in politics, in wars etc.

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?
Wait and you will see.
