Traffic.
No, I'm not talking about the most recent freeway bottleneck in your area.
And I'm certainly not talking about drug related events.
This is good traffic. Traffic you want. You've spent countless hours building your web project and now you want people to come pay you a visit. That's called website traffic, and there are many success tips to make this happen for online Internet marketers.
Advertising co-ops is but one path to success, and the way we will be talking about in this article.
Before we start let's establish what an advertising co-op is.
Simply put, an advertising co-op is a group of advertisers pooling their resources together so that they can advertise within a given niche market without it costing each advertiser a bundle of cash to do so. There are certainly keys to success when doing this type of advertising.
*** KEY #1: Niche It Down ***
You've heard it in other areas of Internet marketing and it holds true in this one as well. The more you focus on a given target market the better your chances of success.
This means…
* all the members of the co-op need to be from a specific given niche.
* the advertisers you approach also need to demonstrate that they are related to that target.
* the readers that are being targeted with your advertising need to have a great interest in the niche you are within.
The more you niche the better your results.
*** Key #2: Top Of The Line ***
For optimum results the co-op group needs to have stastically strong websites.
* What is their Google PR?
* What is everyone's Alexa ranking?
* How strong are the web projects SEO'd?
If all players of the co-op have an excellent track record the group will be much more appealing to advertisers as a whole. As such it would be appropriate to expect both lower rates and better placements.
*** KEY #3: Track Your Hits ***
There are many tools on the market that will tell you who is clicking what where. Adding this information to your co-op project will help everyone know what is and is not working. This gives each member the ability to alter their individual campaigns until everyone is satisfied with the results being returned to their own separate projects.
The Traffic Facts service administered through GoDaddy.com is my own personal utility of choice for this aspect of my own web marketing.
*** CONCLUSION ***
Running advertising co-ops where all online Internet marketers involved are pleased with the results they are receiving is one definite way of ensuring that the group will not fade away any time soon. That's why following these success tips is sure to help you succeed.
