All parents want to do the best for their children simply because parents are the protectors of their children.

One of the tasks of a parent is to be able to acquire as much knowledge as possible and to be able to pass this onto their children. And one thing that many parents want to be able to pass is information concerning health as this is a matter that does affect and concern everyone.

Within the general area of healthcare comes the need to be able to take care of the skin and it is important to be able to use baby care products that are natural and organic.

The decision to buy skin care products is very important as these can actually have an impact on the health of your child. For instance a number of skin care products do contain a number of harsh ingredients and these can lead to a rash or even for the skin to become dry. It is important that you are not exposing your baby to such ingredients and to cause any irritation for your baby.

There has been some research that has been performed that shows that up 75% of all new born babies develop some kind of skin irritation such as that of a rash or even eczema. Many of the contributing factors come from products that we now and trust as they promise to help clean and care for the skin as well as keeping it protected from the various elements.

A lot of the products that do exist contain ingredients such as formaldehyde, 1,4-dioxane, and possibly even nitrosamines, all of which are cancer-causing, highly irritating or both.

Many parents think that using talc is actually a good idea as it help to dry the skin, but this is actually in fact very dangerous as it made up of tiny particles that can enter the pores of the skin and causing them to become clogged. Then there is the chance that they can be inhaled and this can then lead to potential breathing problems.

It is important that you look for healthy skin care products that are going to work to help keep your baby’s skin protected and will help to maintain the pH level of the skin. Products such as Soy Calendula Oil can be used which is an actual anti-inflammatory and is also known for its anti-microbial properties which can help to regenerate the cells and help to promoting healthy skin.

Other herbs that are kind to a baby’s skin include Borage as it contains important vitamins and minerals. Avocado Oil is also very good as this is easily absorbed into the skin and is an excellent source of Vitamins A, D and also E.

Vitamin E should be used where possible as it is very powerful anti-oxidant which means that it will help to protect the skin from damage from the free radicals that are contained within the atmosphere.

Another potent extract is that of green tea and again this a powerful anti-oxidant and it is aimed at preventing damage to the cells of the skin.
